Building Bridges, Making Home: The Co-creation of a Cross‑Regional Movement — Journey of BEBESEA and our impact across East and Southeast Asia (2018-2026)
We are proud to present our first impact report, titled “Building Bridges, Making Home”, which highlights our key activities and milestones in our migration and human rights advocacy and the making of BEBESEA from 2018 through 2026.
Operating through our core approach and strategic initiatives, BEBESEA has consistently worked to facilitate multi-stakeholder collaboration that drives meaningful changes.
Together with our networks and partners, we have:
Engaged with individuals and organisations across 16 countries and regions, and hosted activities in 12 cities across East and Southeast Asia.
Collaborated with 74 civil society organisations, grassroots community groups, academic and research institutions, media outlets, and government agencies across our projects and events.
Welcomed over 2,500+ active participants to our activities, including conferences, public discussions, workshops, and training sessions.
Co-produced 16 research reports, policy papers, toolkits, and guidelines in collaboration with academic and community researchers, media experts, and civil society practitioners.
Organised 70 forums, public discussions, policy dialogues, workshops, and training sessions engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
Grew our community to 2,150+ social media followers and 310 monthly newsletter subscribers.
The report was officially launched on August 6, 2026, at the symposium “Co-creating Inclusive and Sustainable Migration Governance: Lessons from Multi‑Stakeholder Collaboration across East and Southeast Asia” held in Tokyo, Japan.
