Event

  • The result of 2024 Workers’ Study Conference (WSC), organized by Initiatives for Workers Solidarity in Asia Pacific (IWSAP) will be launched on 30 May 2025. WSC is an annual IWSAP’s flagship activity to share knowledge and hold discussions among workers’ organizations and advocates of IWSAP aims to showcase different situations of workers in the region.   • Seminar “Inle in memory and cross-border assistance after the earthquake situation” will be held in-person on 1 June 2025 in Chiang Mai. Our network Suebsakun Kidnukorn will be one of the panels in the discussion.

  • The upcoming Regional Migrants’ Summit 2025 organized by Asia Pacific Mission for Migrants (APMM) and Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) will be held on 20-21 June 2025 in Quezon City, Philippines. BEBESEA will be there to share more about the newly released Toolkit for Media Campaign by Migrant, Displaced & Stateless Communities. Stay tuned for more updates through their social media.

  • National Forum in Solidarity with Migrants 2025 in North Kanto” organized by Solidarity Network with Migrants Japan (SMJ) will be held on 20-21 June 2025.

  • Empowerment Through Art hosts weekly art classes every Saturday. Know more on how to join here.  

  • Symposium on Creating a Multicultural Society with Foreign Communities” will be held on 19 June 2025. This event will be hosted by Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF).

  • Jfcnet Tokyo held house tours to Filipino Migrants’ organizations’ houses in Japan. Know more about the program here.

Watch:

  • Watch the news coverage of Taiwan’s migrant workers’ calls for an end to the 12–14 year work limit that forces them to leave the country. Protesters say current rules block long-term settlement and treat essential labor as temporary.
